California has reduced its electrical power sector related carbon emissions by 35 percent — enabling it to achieve a goal set for 2020 early. Looking ahead, California will need to rely an synergies between batteries and clean energy both in power and transport as it moves to cut emission further.

Outlining the effects of the Hottest summer in Western Australia on record in 2010-11
http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/current/season/wa/archive/201102.perth.shtml
Catastrophic effects on bird, coral and trees… 60% decline in Carnaby’s Cockatoo… in one Summer… Terrible…
That Summer was terrible, we had 60 days of over 30C and 28 days of over 35C.
Ahhh hard to stay positive… Will only get worse…

/ August 31, 2018An interesting article from Aust.
https://onestepoffthegrid.com.au/redflow-batteries-help-power-new-beginning-heritage-listed-adelaide-building/
A Heritage listed building being updated and renovated, more power consumption than the Power Company could provide at peaks, so opted for a Zinc Bromine battery and inverters that charge when prices are low at night to supplement load at peak times – If not Heritage building Solar could be added.
The Redflow battery has the advantage of no fire risk unlike Li, so simpler to obtain permits for in building installation

/ August 31, 2018i helped california by installing 10 years ago 40 solar panels. we live in the central valley and before the panels with our pool the month of july we had a $750 electric bill. with the panels abut $1000 is our yearly bill. our next house we will have all the bells and whistles of solar and wind tech as well as power type walls to have the home 100% renewable.

Posted on August 29, 2018
News stories about the Arctic always seem to say either that the Arctic is warming twice as fast as the global average, or that it’s warming nearly twice as fast as the global average. That’s not correct.
Arctic warming is more like three to four times as fast as global warming.
